Location: Regional Office - Denver, CO


The Purchasing Coordinator will report to the Director of Purchasing and will be responsible for working with national suppliers to control expenses and maintain a high standard of quality for all Pinnacle properties.


  • Provides administrative support to the Director of Purchasing.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Prepares bid documents in comparison format and seeks clarifications and answers as required.
  • Assists in administering national programs with multiple suppliers.
  • Interpret purchasing data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Executes purchasing strategies for the organization.
  • Assists in obtaining, analyzing and presenting telecom and laundry proposals to clients.
  • Accurately abstracts contracts and monitors notice and expiration dates.
  • Controls energy expenses by managing energy consumption and deregulated utilities.
  • Monitors aging reports to control outstanding balances.
  • Maintains organization of electronic and paper files.
  • Provides customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Assists the Construction and Facilities Maintenance team as needed.
  • Achieves high productivity through reliable and punctual attendance and reports any tardiness, attendance and disciplinary issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of property operations in the multifamily industry
  • Self-starting team player with an eye for detail and ability to apply critical thought
  • Strong organizational skills with ability and desire to follow through, and track deliverables and deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to perform basic math, and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and offer viable solutions
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and email system communication



  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Yardi experience preferred
  • Prior property operations in multifamily experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, and all property level personnel
  • Must be detail oriented and able to focus with frequent interruptions
  • Must have intermediate level of computer and internet navigation skills with intermediate Excel skills
  • Maintains confidence and protects operations of business by keeping information confidential
