Reports to:  SVP of Operations and Asset Management

The responsibility of the Transition Specialist is to oversee the due diligence and transition process of on-boarding new properties.  The primary focus of this role is to provide oversight, communication and direction during the various stages of the due diligence and transitioning process.  It is imperative to be detail oriented and have the ability to learn quickly.  This is a national role that will work closely with project managers, regional executives and managers.


• Assist in developing a streamlined property transition and workflow process.
• Coordinate with operations personnel on all transition / initiative information flow between all involved parties.
• Coordinate the initial scope with operations team lead. 
• Review progress and maintain effective communication with operations team during and after the transition / initiative.  Provide daily status updates and challenges to appropriate leadership team. 
• Compile all transition related plans, reports and manage related document flow according to due dates.
• Work in tandem with the Project Management team and various departments to create a smooth transition for the property and client. 
• Review property set up and related reports to confirm alignment with client goals, budget and Pinnacle best practices. 
• Coordinate with operations and RFP (Request for Proposal) team members on related document flow and reports, review for accuracy and consistency.  


Job Requirements


• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel.  Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
• Strong analytical skills and abilities. 
• Ability to train and guide others.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Works well in a collaborative environment and takes ownership of assigned tasks.
• Strong attention to detail. 
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

• 2-3 years of real estate industry required and Property Manager experience is highly preferred.
• Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance from accredited university or equivalent experience 






The job is considered light in physical demand. Verbal and auditory ability required in order to communicate in person and by telephone. Must be able to sit and / or stand up to eight hours per day. Must have close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to finger and grasp. Physical activities include computer keyboard operation, and frequent verbalization of ideas. Work requires high attention and mental demands including the ability to prioritize and process information with accuracy and clarity. Must be able to travel independently.
